Skittles and Twix had their first Dock Diving competition @northequest_k9 Everyone was so great at helping us through the process. Can’t wait for September 19th! Twix even got an invite to regionals.

When Twix first came home, we introduced him to a simple rule: you wait for good things.
Starting with his food ball, he learned that staying put — even when he really, really wanted to pounce — made the magic happen.
Now? Start line stays are just part of our day. Whether it’s for dinner, toys, or agility practice, Twix knows: patience always pays off.

Here’s a fun fact to make your tail wag: Did you know the real Labrador is actually Canadian? Yep! The so-called "American" Lab is one of the last four original Canadian dog breeds and is the only true full-bred Labrador! 🐾
Meanwhile, those English Labs? They’ve got a little remix going on—they were cross-bred with other breeds like the Flat-coated Retriever, Curly-coated Retriever, and even the Tweed Water Spaniel once they made their way to England. So, the next time someone mentions their English Lab, you’ll know they’ve got a bit of a mixed bag of charm! 🍁

Our new addition! Snickers (aka Bentley) is a 3 year old male lab who was used for breeding and a family pet. He has a lovely demeanour but needs a lot of training and “some exercise” 😆. This is going to be fun.

This image was taken July 3, 2017. It was one of my first and favorite street photography photos but with its over exposure I was never quite sure what to do with it. Look how his elbow perfectly aligns with the trees.

This photo was also taken with an iPhone at hip level. You never know what you are going to get until you stop and look. It’s a fun experiment.

I love how street photography tells a story. 💕

Big Splashes, Bigger Smiles – Titles All Around! 🌊🐾

What a weekend for our dock diving duo! Twix earned his Dock Junior (DJ) title with a personal best of 15’6”, launching him into the Senior division for 2026. Skittles made her biggest splash yet at 17’, earning her Dock Senior (DS) title and starting her journey toward Dock Senior Advanced with 6 jumps already in the bag. Two dogs, two titles, two personal bests—living the best Life with Labs! 🐾🌊
